Bragg, Sir William (Henry)
(2 jul. 1862, Wigton, Cumberland, Inglaterra–12 mar. 1942, Londres).

Científico británico, pionero de la física del estado sólido. Con su hijo (William) Lawrence Bragg (n. 1890–m. 1971) compartió en 1915 el Premio Nobel por su investigación en la determinación de estructuras del cristal y por el descubrimiento de Lawrence (1912) de la ley de Bragg de la difracción de los rayos X. William diseñó y construyó el espectrómetro de ionización de Bragg, prototipo de todos los difractómetros modernos de rayos X y neutrones; ambos lo utilizaron para hacer las primeras mediciones exactas de longitudes de onda de los rayos X y de datos de cristales.
